World-renowned artist Harry McCormick is displaying his artwork all summer at the St. Johns County Administrative Building’s Rotunda. There will be a grand opening on July 17 from 8:15-9 a.m. The New Jersey native is noted for his realistic paintings with a focus on light and shadow, and he has been called a painter of “interiors” and “genre”‘ – such as ordinary people doing ordinary things like a series of people looking at paintings in museums and galleries. There is no admission charge, and the public is welcome during normal business hours on Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.. Though the official grand opening is July 17th, his work can be seen as of July 3rd at the rotunda.
