Unidos en la Musica at Romanza Festivale

Unidos en la Música celebrated the art, music, dance, games, and, of course, delicious food of Latin America. The all-day festival was held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Francis Field, and served as one of the kick-off events for St. Augustine’s Romanza Festivale of Music and the Arts.

Geek Out Art Show at Romanza

Sarbez! was the host of the Geek Out Art Show Vol. 3 on Saturday, May 4, 2019, as part of the Romanza Festivale of the Arts. A combination of an art show and a mini comicon, the event featured artists and comic book lovers from all over Florida gathering to showcase their talents.

In addition to the art on display, there was live music and booths set up by sponsors offering collectibles and accessories for sale.

Guests were invited to come in costume, and to bring their little Tanks Girls, Flashes, Wonder Women, Dr. Who’s, and Supermen along.

NFWC at Romanza Festivale

North Florida Women’s Chorale was part of the Romanza Festivale, and performed at the Ancient City Baptist Church on Saturday, May 4th at noon. The title of their performance was “Much Ado About Women”.

Romanza Opens With Zayas

Romanza Festivale of Music and the Arts presented Cuban pianist Juana Zayas in the Festival’s opening headliner concert on Friday, May 3, 2019, at the Cathedral Basilica.

Havana-born pianist Juana Zayas has been winning awards for her artistry on the piano since she was a little girl. She gave her first recital at age 7, graduated with a Gold Medal from the Peyrellade Conservatory at age 11, and went on to study at the Conservatoire National Superior de Musique de Paris.

Ms. Zayas is known for her sensitive rendering of the music of Chopin. She has toured throughout Europe, South America, and the United States as a Steinway artist, and has had several performances broadcast by National Public Radio and New York’s WQXR.
