St Johns County COVID-19 Press Conference

St. Johns County held a press conference at 4 p.m. today March 24th, in the Emergency Operations Center, 100 EOC Drive, St. Augustine, to discuss St. Johns County’s response to COVID-19. The conference included a question-and-answer session with representatives from St. Johns County, Florida Department of Health, St. Johns County Emergency Management. Representatives from other agencies, including the City of St. Augustine, the City of St. Augustine Beach, St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, and emergency medical services were also be present.

St Augustine Tonight Show and Dr Gulani

Dr Gulani and his Gulani Vision Institute in Jacksonville will supply suites to Jorge Rivera the host of the St Augustine Tonight Show for his fourth season. These beautiful suites after the show will then go to the USO to help those who are starting a new life in the civilian world. Dr Gulani believes that being well dress helps the self confidence, and gives a positive out look to the individual. Dr. Arun C. Gulani, MD MS will be a guest on the St Augustine Tonight Show on January 21, 2020, to talk about this, but also his breakthroughs in new technologies, techniques and protocols in eye surgery and the eye care industry.

St. Augustine (VA) Community Based Outpatient Clinic Breaks Ground

On Friday, though, there was a celebration for the groundbreaking of the St. Augustine (VA) Community Based Outpatient Clinic at 100 Deerfield Preserve Blvd. (just off State Road 207). It will open in about a year and should then be named the Leo C. Chase Jr. Department of Veterans Affairs Clinic in honor of the county’s first solider to die in the Vietnam War. The ceremony Friday attracted Gov. Ron DeSantis, who attended the opening of the temporary facility as a member of Congress in 2015, Rep. John Rutherford (R-Jacksonville), county commissioners, St. Augustine and St. Augustine Beach commissioners, members of the Chase family and various others associated with the project.
