Elite Airways LLC began scheduled operations today between Northeast Florida Regional Airport (UST) and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), serving the tri-state area and New York City. The flight is approximately two hours in duration on Mondays and Fridays departing Newark at 10:45 a.m., arriving UST at 12:45 p.m.; departing UST at 1:15 p.m. returning to EWR at 3:15 p.m. Tickets start at $129* each way and are available for sale at 877-393-2510 and EliteAirways.com.
In a news conference Thursday at the Northeast Florida Regional Airport (NFRA), Elite Airways representative Mike McBride announced that it will start round-trip service directly between St. Augustine and Rochester, Minnesota, starting July 20, 2018 .It marks the first major commercial service announcement since Frontier Airlines pulled out of St. Augustine last year. ViaAir continues to offer service to Charlotte, North Carolina, with continuing service to two stops in West Virginia. The new route for Elite will operate Monday morning and Friday afternoon each week. It is planned as a year-round offering. Elite will fly a CRJ-700 jet with seats for 70 passengers. Although there is no other current agreement with Elite and the local airport, both sides said they were eager to put together more deals in the near future.
