It was just a little Circus, but it had great BIG dreams. In the years since, Venardos Circus has grown into a living example of the power of dreams, and proudly continues the American Circus tradition for a new generation, bringing joy to people everywhere.
This Wednesday, January 24th, they open at the St Augustine Amphitheatre. The troupe presents themselves as a musical showcase of family-oriented performers. The act is a combination of Broadway artistry, acrobatics, dancing, and daredevilry. The performance is 90 minutes with a brief intermission. The entire show takes place inside a traditional circus tent that seats 300 people.

Released Jan 12, 2018, this EP is heavily influenced by the soul and early rock artists of the 50’s and 60’s. Hence the title, which is a nod to the dances of that era, ShagShuffleShimmyShakeSwing: Vol 1 is an authentic homage to the pioneers of that soul and early rock, “The ones that started it all”. You can hear the backbeat rhythms and musical influences of all the artists he admires. The lead single, “The Pioneers”, is a celebration of the music of Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Ray Charles, and Sam Cooke and will take you back to a time of juke joint, jump jiving grooves that still move your heart and soul, and make you want to get up and dance. The EP Release Party in St Augustine was held at the San Sebastian Winery to a packed house of dancing fans. If you would like to purchase Billy Buchanan’s music go to www.billybuchanan.org
