53rd Annual Art & Craft Festival 2018

The St. Augustine Art Association presented the 53rd Annual Art & Craft Festival at Francis Field on Saturday and Sunday, November 24 and 25, 2018, at Francis Field. This premier outdoor art fair attracted visitors and residents alike, ranging from knowledgeable art collectors to holiday shoppers looking for something unique. With over 100 artists displaying their work, it was easy to find the perfect gift.

The Art & Craft Festival featured painting, pottery, jewelry, glassware, sculptures, fiber art, photography, mixed media, fine hand-crafted creations, and more. All proceeds from the event were donated to the St. Augustine Art Association, founded in 1924 to support the local arts scene and enhance recognition of St. Augustine as a robust destination for anyone interested in the arts.

This year’s event included artists demonstrations (included in a schedule) and cultural displays, including crafts of a bygone era presented by the Textile Art Guild. At the Hyundai Kids Art Zone, kids could create their own art and enjoy a visit from Santa at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. A wide variety of international food, beer, and wine was available, as well as live music all day on the Gamble Rogers Folk Festival stage.

Made St Augustine 2018

Made in St. Augustine was the culmination of all things local. On February 11, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Francis Field, this handcrafted festival celebrated everything made in the nation’s oldest city. This curated event showcased St. Augustine, who creates, crafts, constructs, produces, educates, cooks and bakes. The one-day annual festival featured artisans, builders, chefs, distillers, vintners, farmers, and anyone who “makes” in St. Augustine. Made in St. Augustine® provided attendees the opportunity to sample cuisine and beverages from dozens of local restaurants, supplied visitors a unique shopping opportunity in a market-like atmosphere, educated attendees about the area’s historic and cultural offerings, and supplied aspiring makers instructional opportunities through adult workshops and junior make-and-take stations. Entertainment and fun activities completed the festive environment geared toward the whole family.
